Deadline for tabling oral questions

The deadline for oral questions is 12.30pm three to five sitting days before the Question Time takes place. A sitting day is a day when the House is meeting.

You can check the Question Time Rota to see what Question Times are coming up and what the deadlines for submission are.

The earliest you can table an oral question is immediately after the end of the previous Question Time for that department.

Special arrangements are made for Question Times taking place immediately after a recesses, and these are announced in the Order Paper.
