Sub judice and questions

You can’t ask a question if it refers to a case that is active in the UK courts. This is set out in the sub judice resolution agreed by the House and is subject to the Speaker’s discretion.

The Table Office can provide more detailed guidance. You should talk to the Table Office in advance if you are aware of legal proceedings in relation to a question you want to table.
