Chancellor's economic update

The Chancellor makes a statement to give an update on the state of the economy and progress made since the Budget, and to respond to the Office for Budget Responsibility’s forecasts for the economy.

The statement is made immediately after oral questions and any urgent questions, but before any other oral statements. You shouldn’t intervene during the statement, but you can ask questions when it’s finished. If you want to do this, you should rise in your seat to try and catch the Speaker’s eye.
