Hansard operates the annunciator system, which is shown on monitors around the parliamentary estate.
The system provides constantly updated information on what’s happening in the Chamber: the subject of debate, the stage of a bill’s progress, the MP speaking, their constituency, and the time they began speaking. The screen shows “Division” and a green flashing bell when a vote is taking place. A scroll bar at the bottom of the screen provides information on, for example, oral statements, urgent questions and the grouping of questions.
